Hayden AI Names Renee Autumn Ray, Transit Technology Expert, as Director of Industry Strategy

In her new role, Ray will refine and execute Hayden AI’s thought leadership strategy, leveraging her experience working at all levels of government on emerging transportation technology issues.

“Understanding the unique, specific needs of the public agencies we serve is vital to providing a technology solution that helps them improve service delivery and achieve their policy objectives. Renee’s insights will help ensure that the Hayden AI platform stays ahead of the curve,” said Chris Carson, Co-Founder and CEO of Hayden AI. “The pace of technology innovation is increasing, and Renee’s industry expertise will help ensure that we iterate and expand our AI-powered platform to deliver a best-in-class product to the market.”

Prior to joining Hayden AI, Ray was the Strategy and Innovation Leader at Conduent Transportation, a leading transportation technology company working across transit, curbside management, and public safety. She has worked at local, regional, and federal agencies on emerging transportation policy ideas and digital transformation projects.

“There are tremendous investments occurring in transportation innovation. I transitioned from public service to technology because I believe that we need people at tech firms who understand how the government works and know how technology can be part of the solution to difficult problems,” said Ray. “What excites me about joining Hayden AI is seeing how artificial intelligence is being applied to create a platform that transit and urban street networks be managed more safely and effectively.”

Ray also holds appointed positions on two committees, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Emerging and Innovative Public Transport and Technologies, for the Transportation Research Board, part of the National Academy of Sciences. She has a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
